About
Us
| In 1998,
NYSHA was founded as a nonprofit organization
with the vision of creating a strong foundation for the profession of
homeopathy in New York State.
Through our regular meetings and other activities, we aim
to cultivate a sense of professional community throughout the State through
which mutual concerns of all homeopaths may be shared.

We
support the freedom to practice
homeopathy, the public’s
freedom to choose homeopathic
treatment, and the freedom
to obtain homeopathic remedies.
We strive to
educate health care providers and the general public on the benefits of homeopathy.
We support the professional certification of
homeopaths by the Council
for
Homeopathic Certification (CHC), while upholding its standards of practice
and code of ethics.
We support the advancement
of homeopathic education, and we promote
the research and development of homeopathic materia medica by
participating in new remedy provings.
We keep our membership informed about current
educational events and developments within our community.
Our discussions at meetings include topics as
varied as:
- the sharing
of difficult cases
- materia
medica, including information on new provings and unusual remedies
- legal issues
affecting the practice of homeopathy
- the sharing
of information gathered at seminars
- practice
management concerns and
collegial support
- discussions
of useful remedies during current flus and
epidemics

The primary goal of NYSHA is to further the advancement of homeopathy.
NYSHA
welcomes all individuals who share in the common goal of supporting and
strengthening classical homeopathy in New York State.
